The Lewiston mill is the largest of Clearwater Paper’s facilities, producing both paperboard and tissue products, and boasting over 1200 talented employees. Approximately two hours away from Clearwater Paper’s headquarters in Spokane, Washington, the Lewiston paper mill is a key component in Clearwater Paper’s business strategy. What you will do
The #4 Power Boiler Utility will be responsible for learning and assisting with every section of the Boiler area. This position is part of the International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers (IAMAW) and works exclusively at #4 Power Boiler.
- Able to assist and learn all areas of the #4 Power Boiler as needed
- Fuel pile area clean-up
- Relief operation of the Wagner as needed
- Relief in the 2nd Helper position as needed
- Water testing, hog fuel sample testing, and boiler area clean-up responsibilities
What you will need
To be successful in this position, we are looking for candidates with the following:
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent (required)
- 2+ years of continuous work experience in a manufacturing or production-type environment (required)
Paper Manufacturing experience (preferred) - Understand and comply with all manufacturing safety procedures including personal protective equipment (required)
- Able to work in a physically demanding environment including temperature extremes, loud noise, avoiding slipping, tripping, and falling hazards
- Physically capable of manual labor that includes bending, walking, sitting, and climbing in and around machinery and equipment for an entire 12-hour shift
- Able to lift, up to 40 lbs frequently, between 40 and 50 lbs occasionally, and over 50 lbs minimally. When lifting 50 lbs and above, Operator will use team lifting and overhead crane assistance.
- Work environment includes exposure to compressed air, steam, lubrication oil, dust, and hydraulic fluid.
- Able to work a 12-hour rotating shift including nights, weekends, and Holidays. Able to work overtime as needed.

Day 1: 6:00am – 6:30pm
Day 2: 6:00am – 6:30pm
Day 3: 6:00pm – 6:30am
Day 4: 6:00pm – 6:30am
4 days off
