626 Night Market is inspired by the famous open-air nighttime bazaars of Asia, where people come together to eat, drink, socialize, and be entertained. Established in 2012, the large-scale market is named after the 626 area code region of San Gabriel Valley, northeast of Los Angeles. The iconic Californian festival features 250+ food, merchandise, crafts, artists, games, live concerts, and entertainment attractions in an epic event that appeals to all ages hundreds of thousands of attentees per year. 626 Night Market aims to unite and empower the community by serving as a platform for showcasing local talent including performers, chefs, and entrepreneurs. Locations include Los Angeles, Orange County, San Francisco, San Diego, and Las Vegas.

As Event Staff, you work under Event Directors and Managers while alongside other Event Staff to keep events running smoothly from conception to completion. The ideal candidate possesses experience in customer service, conflict management, is detail-oriented, performs well under stress, and is a proactive problem solver. This role requires active written and verbal communication between the Event Manager and fellow Event Staff members. The Event Staff will report to the Event Manager. This is an in-person position that requires being on-site during events on weekends. The role provides on the job training and growth opportunities.

Responsibilities and Duties:

● Coordinate with fellow staff members under the instructions of the Event Manager
● Work alongside Security team to ensure the safety of attendees and staff
● Direct and assist vendors to ensure they are kept updated and meet event standards
● Unload equipment to and from storage locations and set up the venue for events
● Troubleshoot and maintain event infrastructure
● Assume the role of ticket-taker and welcoming guests; ensuring that capacity adheres to fire code regulations
● Inform attendees of useful information
● Ensure venue is clean and organized during and after the event - venue should be in the same or better condition as before the event as best as possible

Working Conditions:

● Weekend event hours. Overtime is sometimes expected during on-site event hours
● Physical activity includes: standing, walking, and lifting weight up to 50 lbs
● Events are outdoor with long periods of exposure to various weather conditions

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $14.00 - $16.00 per hour
