Responsibilities of a MDS Lead:

• Responsible for developing, implementing, and coordinating the Resident Assessment Instrument (RAI) process in a long-term care and Short-Term Rehabilitation / Skilled Nursing Center
• Ensuring the center stays in compliance with current professional practice standards, physician’s orders, company policies and procedures, and local, state, and federal regulations, as well as providing oversight of the center’s MDS Coordinator.

Qualifications for a MDS Lead:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Healthcare Administration, Health Services or related field required, or meets minimum credit hours required by the state to become licensed by the state board.
• Active, unrestricted Nursing Home Administrator’s licensure (LNHA) in the state of practice required.
• One (1+) years healthcare facility administrator or AIT experience required.
• Must be proficient in the use of a Personal Computer. Must be able to navigate Windows and Microsoft Office programs, Internet-based Applications, and EMR Software
