Cameo Consulting Group, LLC a Federal staffing practice based out of Alexandria VA, is seeking a qualified and available Federal Hiring Processing Assessment Specialist/Consultant to support a current Federal client. The position is fully remote, short-term in nature, and available upon contract award. Work hours are generally flexible.

SCOPE: The goal of the assessment and recommendations is to provide the Federal agency with options to accelerate the rate of hiring and increase the current hiring capacity. All recommended actions must follow existing OPM rules and regulations, as well as current Federal agency Board Orders and policies. The project is anticipated to last 30-60 days.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Assess current hiring processes, procedures, and policies followed by the Federal agency’s Bureau of Human Resources (BHR).

· Identify and recommend procedural or process improvements, with the goal of streamlining and speeding up the pace of hiring for the Federal agency, following “best practices” utilized throughout the Federal Government.

· Create standardized timelines for all HR and Bureau tasks as it relates to the hiring and onboarding of new hires (i.e. “How long does the Federal agency take versus “standards” or “best practices” amongst other Federal Agencies?

· Review and assess the current activities within the Bureau of Human Resources, including an individual assessment of the current HR Specialist staff to review competencies, as well as effectiveness in the respective roles.

· Provide recommendations regarding additional training/mentoring needed for the current HR Specialist staff.

· Review, assess, and offer suggestions/revisions of current Federal agency Board Orders and Policies pertaining to hiring. what we have today” in terms of processes while being cognizant of existing laws and regulations that may be more difficult to alter.

QUALIFICATIONS:

· Minimum of ten years of relevant Federal HR experience

· Bachelors Degree, Masters preferred

· An active Government Clearance

· Excellent knowledge of OPM rules and regulations

· Specialized Federal HR experience equivalent to the GS-14/15 level
