The primary function of the Sales Engineer is to serve as a support role for the design and sale of ABB variable frequency drives and Baldor electric motors, and experience in the Commercial HVAC industry. Activities will range from pre-sale support such as estimating, quoting, and communicating with customers, as well as providing post-sale support by generating equipment submittals and providing on-site technical assistance to our customers.

Job Description:

  • Outside Sales and Account Management Responsibility
  • Present, promote and sell ABB and Baldor products to end users, building owners, contractors, and distributors.
  • Perform building audits with facilities groups and coordinate capital planning initiatives with owners.
  • Support the outside sales teams as an internal resource for questions, and an external resource for lunch & learns and other training opportunities with contractor and engineering community.
  • Utilize CRM for opportunity tracking and project follow up.
  • Host promotional events locally and attend trade shows periodically as needed.
  • Travel within the state of Oregon. Both office and remote work opportunities.


  • Salary Range: $75-100K plus bonus/commission (DOE)
  • Other Pay Benefits: monthly car allowance, cell phone, gym membership
  • Location: Portland or surrounding area
  • Territory: Oregon
