Job Summary

We are currently accepting applications for an Academic Advisor. This position will be responsible for providing academic advising and admission counseling to current and prospective students.
Job Duties:
- Provide academic advising to new and returning students.
- Provide admission counseling, including assisting with program selection, for new and transfer students.
- Create, schedule and provide orientation for new and returning students
- Recruit students at community events, including in local schools as needed.
- Provide campus tours to groups and individuals as needed.
- Plan, schedule and provide student activities.
- Supervise SGA/Student Ambassadors.
- Provide Training.
- Travel to local high schools, community partners, all campuses and other places as needed.
Minimum Qualifications:
The qualified applicant will have a Bachelor’s degree and two years related experience and a current driver’s license. Minimal evening/night and weekend work is required.
Preferred Qualifications:
The preferred candidates will have experience in public speaking, working in student affairs and have a complete understanding of the student’s pipeline. Some higher education/student affairs experience is desired.
