Job Highlights
This is a new, full-time, temporary position with secured funding for 4 years. The ACAP Coordinator will have an opportunity to make a tremendous and positive impact on agriculture in Indiana County. ACAP stands for Agriculture Conservation Assistance Program. The candidate will provide technical assistance, education, and outreach to farmers, contract and oversee the installation of agriculture best management practices (BMPs) to reduce soil erosion and improve water quality, and foster collaborative relationships with agency partners.
Minimum Qualifications
Successfull candidates will possess an Associates Degree in agriculture or related field, have experience in managing agriculture projects, have knowledge of soil and water conservation issues including ag BMPs, and be able to work indpendently with minimal supervision.
Job Compensation
This position starts at $37,000 and is commensurate with experience.
