We’re looking for an outstanding Associate People Partner. The work location for this position is Chicago, IL, and is eligible for a hybrid work arrangement.

The Associate People Partner will report to the Senior People Partner and support assigned business units. As a member of the People Partner team, you will guide your client groups and have the opportunity to build processes from scratch and directly help our business units develop and scale.

The base salary range for this role is $70,400 per year - $105,600 per year. Individual compensation packages are based on a few factors unique to each candidate, including their skills, experience, qualifications, and other job-related reasons.

The Opportunity :
The Associate People Partner will report to the Senior People Partner and support assigned business units. As a member of the People Partner team, you will guide your client groups and have the opportunity to build processes from scratch and directly help our business units develop and scale.
Here’s what you bring:
- Accountable for the creation and management of letters, templates, and checklists used in the HR function
- Off-board employees, including exit interviews
- Ownership of organizational chart maintenance and distribution
- Provide high levels of customer service and confidentiality when responding to onboarding, benefits, payroll, professional development inquiries, etc
- Review and evaluate job descriptions with Global Total Rewards (GTR)
- Use people analytics to recommend changes and improvements
- Partner with Talent Acquisition with background checks and other recruitment activity
- Partner with appropriate HR teams on leave administration, workers' compensation and ADA accommodations
- Coordinate and compile immigration documentation
- Align HR support objectives to organizational objectives ensuring that all supporting services strengthen the achievement of both short- and long-term goals in a cost-effective and efficient manner
- Curiosity to learn about the business
- Business acumen in Oracle Technology to view data, run reports as needed
- Conduct investigations and make recommendations to management and People Partners1
- Act as the first point of contact for employee relations questions, provide guidance and consultation and make sure internal clients are using the tools and resources available
- Coach leaders on all aspects of Employee Relations
- Ensure that employee matters are handled with consistency, fairness, and without discrimination
- Develops an environment of trust, accountability, and confidentiality by building strong relationships with employees
In this role, you’ll:
- Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 3 years of HR generalist experience
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Ensures facts are correct, complete, and consistent
- Knowledge of HR processes and best practices
- Strong customer service orientation and ability to develop business relationships
- The strong work ethic that is consistently exhibited in attitude and personal drive
- Proficient data analytical skills. Ability to handle data with confidentiality
- A flexible and practical approach to supporting the wider operating environment and the ability to respond quickly to ever-changing priorities
- Understands how to handle, resolve and escalate inquiries; passes on information promptly
- Understands how to work in a team to deliver effective services
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal; self-assured in dealing with the full range of
