Account Executive Opportunity (Learning Environment Specialist K-12)
DEPARTMENT: Sales

SUMMARY OF POSITION
The job duties of a Learning Environment Specialist is to develop client relationships and work alongside our project teams to deliver transformational learning environments and experiences. Often times this involves a complex sale involving multiple stakeholders, a longer sales cycle and a high degree of perceived risk on the part of the buyer. Overall duties are to generate revenue at company margin through new customer acquisition, existing customer retention target clients with the help of the marketing, sales enablement, and operational support teams. We are looking for a unique individual who is efficient, flexible, dependable and resourceful – desiring to earn a great income.

Scope of Role:

Sales Skills Utilization

  • Navigate multiple relationships, and have the people skills for building and maintaining trust.
  • Because of the length of the sales cycle, must demonstrate patience and skill in moving through the sales process, not miss important milestones or take shortcuts which jeopardize the deal or the account.
  • Detecting and reducing perceived risk for everyone involved in the decision making process.
  • The discipline to expertly manage time, tasks and resources

Sales Planning

  • Develop account strategies, territory planning and administrative responsibilities to ensure a high level of customer intimacy and satisfaction
  • Engage high-level school, district, architectural and at times community stakeholders to orchestrate people, plans and complex multi-faceted projects

Sales Execution

  • Develop and increase sales revenue at or exceeding target margin through business development activities
  • Alert to competitive activity and development of creative methods for new account acquisition
  • Owns the customer relationship before, during and after the sale to ensure existing customer retention
  • Work with support teams to increase communication during the fulfillment phase of projects to ensure a high level of client satisfaction
  • Secures new customers by spending time in the field, obtaining initial and repeat orders, utilizing excellent time management skills relative to planning and organizing daily and weekly work schedules to call on existing or potential customers

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Demonstrates Prospecting, Territory Management, Time Management, Presentation, Negotiation, Closing, Problem Solving and Customer Service skills
  • Solid business acumen to understand and communicate value
  • Navigate both external as well as internal stakeholders and politics
  • Understand and communicate across a variety of cultures and belief systems
  • Be collaborative and team-oriented
  • Ability to think, plan and act strategically
  • Prefer 3-years field sales experience with demonstrable results – experience in the K-12 education market a plus
  • Attention to detail
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • College degree is preferred. High School diploma or its equivalent required
  • Must be able to pass criminal background and drug screening
  • MS Office skills required
