This includes the manufacturing of medium-power transformers, mobile transformers, mobile electrical substations, trailers, and united substations. We offer power transformers for utility applications including power and distribution, transmission voltages, systems ties, and automatic voltage regulations, as well as industrial applications. Delta Star also provides comprehensive engineering, testing, maintenance services, and parts for any transformer manufacturer through our Field Service business unit, ensuring our customer's transformers and mobiles maintain peak performance.
Purpose
The Account Manager is responsible for oversite of the operational interaction between the business units and the end customer. They are responsible for making sure customer requirements are understood and communicated to each department throughout the company. They must manage a high volume of information & correspondence from receipt of the order through the warranty. The Account Manager monitors internal progress while ensuring that the customers' expectations are managed. They have complete oversight of the customer's project invoicing from the initial setup, milestone payment progression, change order management, invoicing approvals, and collections support. Collaboration with stakeholders from other departments such as Sales, Contracts, Engineering, Operations, Finance, and Quality is key to the Account Manager's effectiveness. The Account Manager works hand in hand with each facility's General Manager and their team to help provide a superior customer experience.
Main Responsibilities
- Oversee the operational communication environment between the business units and our customers
- Manage a high volume of project information and customer correspondence
- Communicate customer expectations to internal stakeholders
- Manage customer invoicing for project-based billing
- Monitor internal progress and manage stakeholder expectations
Specific Duties
- Monitor and communicate the day-to-day details of projects within assigned accounts
- Input & maintain orders and account information efficiently, accurately, and in a timely manner
- Oversee & approve of customer project invoicing and change order management
- Track project deliverables using appropriate systems, tools, and techniques
- Serve as the interface between the customer and internal departments within the company
Education & Experience
- 4+ years of customer service experience in a related position is required
- Bachelor's Degree in business administration, or related field, is a bonus
- Proven experience in strong organizational skills, multi-tasking abilities and sound judgement
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite - specifically Outlook, Word, Excel & PowerPoint
