Hours Per Week: 40
Location: Summit County, CO (hybrid - three days in person required)
Pay Range: $22.00-$25.00 per hour
The Accounting Associate is responsible for day-to-day accounting activities including but not limited to Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and Payroll. We are looking for a dynamic team player who will work closely with and support all of FIRC’s community services and departments.

Primary duties:
Process accounts payable and maintain accurate vendor database
Process accounts receivable and other receipts and track donor information
Process credit card transactions and ensure timely reconciliation of credit card accounts
Submit bi-weekly payroll including review of timesheets and employee changes using Paylocity payroll system
Maintain financial security by enforcing internal controls, establishing Policies and Procedures around AP/AR/Payroll
Other duties as assigned
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Maintain accounting ledgers using Financial Edge accounting software
Reconciliation of account balances including research and resolution of any reconciliation variances
Support FIRC’s year-end audit and compliance with regulatory agency filing requirements
Effective communication with program staff, development team, and outside vendors
Coordinates vendor orders for materials and supplies to support Operations department

General requirements of the position include:
High School Diploma or GED Required
1-2 Years of Accounting Experience Preferred
Strong computer skills, including Microsoft office and Financial Edge (or equivalent accounting software)
Ability to manage multiple deadlines
Effectively demonstrate strong written and verbal communication skills, ideally in English and Spanish
Strong analytical and time management skills
Driver’s License and reliable year-round transportation is preferred
Pass a background check
Be able to work in person at a physical FIRC location, with some remote hours
