As an Accounting Clerk, you will be responsible for providing financial support to the accounting department by completing administrative tasks, assisting with daily operations, and working with the Accounting Manager on ad-hoc projects.

Accounting Clerk Responsibilities include:
  • Assist with check requests and issuance of physical checks.
  • Initiate bank deposits.
  • Key/post journal entries.
  • Monitor and manage the accounting mailbox.
  • Assist with downloading invoices and reconciling vendor statements.
  • Assist all daily operations of the accounting department.
  • Adhere to Suburban Automotive Service’s DRIVEN values and align business practices to support the SAS mission and vision.
Accounting Clerk Qualifications and Skills:
  • Ability to read, write, and speak English.
  • Ability to pass the drug screen and background check.
  • Consistent work history and attendance record.
  • Reliable transportation.
  • Strong time-management skills.
  • Ability to adapt and learn new technologies.
  • Ability to perform repetitive actions for extended periods.
  • Must be able to work independently and in teams.
  • Must be attentive to details.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft products.
  • An Associate’s Degree in accounting is preferred but not required.
Accounting Clerk Working Conditions and Physical Demands include:
  • This position is performed in an office setting. Applicants must be okay with sitting for long periods of time.
  • Work requires willingness to work a flexible schedule. May require occasional evening and/or weekend work.
