We are looking for a tenured Accounting Specialist to join our team in Cleveland! The ideal candidate will perform a range of general clerical, accounting, and billing coordinator functions under the direct supervision of the Controller. (This candidate will be required to work in person).
We believe success in this position requires someone with strong accounting and financial skills, can communicate professionally, is organized, manage their time effectively, and have excellent attention to detail.
What You Will Do
  • Create and track purchase orders.
  • Check, verify and process invoices.
  • Sort, code and enter accounts payable data.
  • Analyze discrepancies and unpaid invoices.
  • Maintain vendor files (including all applicable subcontractor paperwork).
  • Verifies vendor accounts by reconciling monthly statements and related transactions.
  • Prepare and submit customer invoices.
  • Enter invoices into customer invoicing web sites as applicable.
  • Update customer files as needed.
  • Deposit cash receipts and reconcile credit cards.
  • Maintain accounting records by making copies; filing documents.
  • Protects organization’s values by keeping information confidential.
  • Liaise with other departments / customers / vendors.
  • Participate in special projects as directed by management.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned by the Controller.
  • Provide back-up assistance to Payroll Manager.
About You
  • 10 years of experience in A/R, A/P, payroll, collections.
  • 3+ years of experience with WinTeam or other ERP software.
  • 3+ years of experience with QuickBooks.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, including Outlook, Excel and Microsoft Word.
  • Experience with software implementation desired.
  • Strong, professional communication skills.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Excellent planning, organizational, and time management skills with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to work against deadlines and handle multiple projects at once.
  • Ability to effectively interact with personnel at all organization levels.
  • Desire to contribute to the success of Legacy.
