Job Description

Process invoices and credits utilizing all available discounts prior to making timely payments, ensure all outstanding credits have been resolved and reconcile statements to open invoices vs. those, which are paid.

Verify merchandise received matches invoices received, investigate and correct discrepancies ensuring all issues are resolved in order for payment to be made in timely manner.

Process One Card statements, ensuring each cardholder follows the University guidelines regarding purchasing and that all supporting documents are accounted for.

Using learned knowledge of appropriate usage of funding and expense codes, and verify accurate posting of all purchases.

Maintain positive relationships with cardholders.

Receive vendor contact calls. Research and resolve vendor questions concerning open invoices.

Sorting Daily Sales Receipts for all Stores, verifying receipts for all Tills received.

Checking and sorting department charges and for the Mizzou Store department charge with split MoCodes.

Checking, sorting, scanning and linking all invoices processed by Department.

Salary

Salary Range: $17.00 - $19.00 hourly

University Title: FINANCE AND ACCOUNTING SPECIALIST

Minimum Qualifications

An Associate’s degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience and at least 2 years of experience from which comparable knowledge and skills can be acquired is necessary.

Preferred Qualifications

Demonstrated understanding of and experience working with invoices, credits, purchase orders, terms and billing procedures.

Prior computer experience working with office software, including spreadsheets and databases.

Prior experience within retail accounting is helpful.

Analytical and decision making experience ideal.

Possess outstanding communication skills, including both written and verbal.

Ability to work with others in a positive and professional manner
