Accounts Payable Clerk Job at Kent Outdoors
The Accounts Payable Clerk is responsible for processing and monitoring payments and expenditures in an effective and efficient manner. Provide assurance that financial compliance is current and up to date and that vendors/suppliers are paid within established due dates.
The duties include, but are not limited to:
Main Activities:
- Receive and verify invoices and requisitions for goods and services
- Verify that transactions comply with financial policies and procedures
- Prepare batches of invoices for data entry
- Data entry of invoices for payment
- Maintain updated vendor files and database
- Manage the weekly disbursement remittances
- Record all Check / ACH and Wire remittances
- Upload ACH data files
- Prepare vendor checks for mailing
- Reconcile vender statements as received
- Maintain aging of accounts payable
- Maintain the general ledger postings
- Establish and maintain confidentiality on records
- Safeguard blank check stock and access
- Look for ways to improve the process and functioning of the tasks
- Support Controller and other leadership on special projects/requests
- Work with other departments regarding applicable issues and needs
Skills/Qualifications:
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel & Word)
- Highly organized
- Analytical and problem-solving skills
- Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple deadlines
- Strong interpersonal, oral and written communication skills
- Ability to work with little supervision
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $17.00 - $20.00 per hour
