Accounts Payable Coordinator Job at Sevan Multi-Site Solutions, Inc.
Summary: The primary purpose of the Accounts Payable Coordinator is to apply principles of accounting to compile and maintain accounts payable records, prepaid items and accruals. The Accounts Payable Coordinator will provide data and transactions in an analytical presentation of information. This position is based in our Downers Grove, IL corporate office, which operates on a hybrid schedule of 3 days per week in the office, and 2 days per week working remotely.
Essential Duties/Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following statements.
- Prepare accounting entries to document business transactions.
- Obtain approvals for all invoices, match invoices to purchase orders.
- Enter invoices into ERP system charging expenses to proper accounts and cost centers.
- Prepare accounts payable checks.
- Research discrepancies; answer all vendor inquiries and reconcile with vendor statements.
- Print all accounts payable reports and maintain all accounts payable files.
- Pays employees by processing weekly payments on expense reports.
- Make recommendations to changes in accounting systems and accounting control procedures.
- Work with the project accountants providing analytical data and support.
- Assist in monthly closings and special projects, as necessary.
- Cross train in payroll as back up.
Qualifications:
- Associates degree in accounting preferred, or six months related experience and/or training; entry level accountants considered.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel
- Excellent oral, written, and comprehensive skills; solid interpersonal skills with the ability to work with all levels of personnel; strong applicable math skills
- Excellent organizational, problem solving, and analytical skills.
