Job Summary
The Accounts Payable Lead performs tasks related to overall accounts payable operations, including reviewing and processing invoices, preparing checks, entering manual payments via ACH or wire, maintaining relationships with vendors, and specific projects as assigned.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide invoice coding to accounts payable specialists
- Leading the organization, execution, and tracking of invoice processing, vendor information management, and corporate credit card operations
- Process expense reports for reimbursements bi-weekly
- Processing weekly accounts payable aging reports to determine payment list
- Comparing purchase orders, prices, terms of payment and other charges
- Participate in month end closing activities
- Assists with audits as needed
- Participate in physical inventory
- Uphold company accounting policies and procedures
- Participate in department projects and initiatives
Required Skills & Abilities
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel
- Strong mathematical and analytical skills
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Proven ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
- Proven ability to meet deadlines
- Sage 500 (Mas500) or similar ERP experience a plus
Physical Demands: Sitting with some standing and walking
Work Environment: Office setting with controlled heating and cooling
Required Education: 3 to 5 years of experience in similar environment and Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Business Administration or equivalent combination of education is preferred.
