Job Description
The Accounts Payable Specialist is responsible for completing administrative duties that provide support the Accounting Department. The Accounts Payables Specialist is a valuable member of the Burke Team as they ensure proper data entry of invoices and process payments.
Tasks
- Invoice data entry into our accounting system
- Coding of invoices and allocation calculations as required
- Data entry of expense (reimbursement) reports
- Assure checks are printed, signed, processed, and delivered properly
- Subcontractor payables and compliance
- Reconcile vendor statements and assure all invoices are in the system waiting for approval, research and correct discrepancies
- Maintain and update W-9’s and vendor information
- Daily accounts payable filing
- Respond to vendor inquiries regarding payment of invoices
- Assist with other projects as needed throughout the Accounting Department
- Proficient in Excel including the use of formulas
- Microsoft Outlook, Word and applicable accounting software used by the Company
