General Description: This position works to maximize the company’s value through accurate daily accounts receivable processing, prompt collection of receivables and resolution of customer disputes. This position will provide assistance to the financial analyst, accounts payable specialist and the Controller. Supports sales initiatives by providing accurate and timely customer data to the appropriate stakeholders.

Essential Job Responsibilities:

  • Assists with completion of the daily account reconciliation. Applies payments to customers’ accounts, prepares and transmits daily bank deposit.
  • Reconciles the accounts receivable ledger to ensure that all payments are accounted for and properly posted. Verifies discrepancies and resolves clients’ billing issues.
  • Assists all MBA locations with customers account issues. Collaborates with other service facility locations to ensure accurate and timely processing of customer transactions.
  • Manages and monitors John Deere financial credit card settlements, ensures transaction settlement or reinstatement of amounts owed. Manages and organizes annual review of John Deere financial programs.
  • Facilitates timely invoice payments by sending bill reminders and contacting clients with outstanding balances.
  • Maintains sales tax exemption certificates.
  • Calculates and files tonnage tax with the respective state agencies.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience

· Associates Degree in accounting is preferred but not required, and/or three years equivalent work experience

· Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite

· High attention to detail

· Ability to work in a team oriented environment

· Excellent written and verbal communication skills

· Ability to prioritize and manage multiple responsibilities

· Must be able to work in a fast paced stressful environment with seasonally long hours

· Prior experience using an ERP system

· Provide high level customer service to both internal and external customers.

· Ability to work outside of set schedule during peak
