Description

Job Summary:

Responsible for monitoring and managing the accounts receivable functions of the company and assisting within the accounting department as needed.

Job Duties/Essential Functions:

· Process incoming payments in compliance with financial policies and procedures

· Prepare miscellaneous reports as required.

· Prepare bills, invoices, and bank deposits for clients.

· Routine follow up with clients on billings submitted.

· Learn client funding requirements, submission dates, client portal usage and access, etc.

· Setup projects in Sage 300, Procore, and Levelset.

· Import estimates into Sage 300 and Procore.

· Ensure accurate filing of lien notices within due dates.

· Report and remit sales tax accruals and payments.

· Review and process manual checks.

· Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

Education, Certifications, Experience:

High school diploma required. Some college coursework or vocational training in accounting skills is preferred. Minimum of 2 years of Construction Accounting experience preferred. Experience working with Sage 300 and TimberScan is preferred. Mathematical and technical background preferred. Expert level Excel Skills required.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:

Proficient typing and computer knowledge including email, Internet, Microsoft Outlook, Teams, and Excel are required. Good organizational, interpersonal, communication (oral and written), and customer relations skills are required. Attention to detail and mental concentration are necessary for accurately performing tasks and handling constant interruptions. Strong work ethic that needs little oversight with a methodical and detailed oriented mindset. The specialist must be a team player who is able to remain calm and patient in high pressure situations. Ability to deal with and work in a fast-paced environment.
