We are seeking an outgoing, bright and energetic Part Time Activities Associate to work in our busy pet boarding and grooming facility. Previous experience with animal handling is preferred.
Activities Associates interact with pet guests and owners and are responsible for playtimes, cuddle times, fitness sessions, bedtime stories, and walks. It is this team member’s responsibility to set up play areas by ensuring that the room or area is clean and sanitized as well as making appropriate, clean toys available for pets.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Actively interacts with pets to fulfill their requested activities.
- Ensures pet safety by creating a safe and fun environment for play
- Provides special treats and water as needed
- Supply/Repair checks and reporting
- Keeps Camp area and toys clean
- Organizing doggy events
- File Maintenance
- Communicates in a professional manner with guests and coworkers
REQUIREMENTS
- High School Diploma/GED
- Able to work weekends and holidays
- Able to frequently lift/carry 40 pounds
- Able to stand on feet for up to 8 hours at a time
- Able to work in an environment with exposure to disinfectant/sanitation chemicals, animal dander and excretions
