If you have technical skills and an excellent customer service mentality, then the Bray Integration Field Engineer position is perfect for you at Bray International. This technician will support our sales and engineer teams, distributors, and end-users of our products with field deployment of Bray network and actuation products and address technical questions related to the use of our products. You will also work directly with the Actuation and Controls Sales and Technologies groups to test and validate systems prior to commissioning and provide training to our clients on Bray’s Industrial Electric Actuators, Networks, and IoT offerings. The Bray Actuation and Controls Field Integration Engineer will report initially to the Actuation and Controls Technology Director and then transfer to the Actuation and Controls sales organization following training.
Job Responsibilities:

  • Work with internal and external customers to provide technical assistance with Bray Industrial Electric Actuators, Networks, and IoT products.
  • Assist with on-site trouble shooting, integration, and commissioning of Bray Industrial Electric Actuators, Networks, and IoT products.
  • Provide client training, onsite and offsite, of Bray Industrial Electric Actuators, Networks, and IoT products.
  • Provide evaluations, troubleshooting, and repair of Bray products as required.
  • Set up client demos both externally and internally.
  • Assist technology group by testing and commissioning products in the lab
  • Modify, rebuild, setup and calibrate Bray products in the lab prior to field installation.
  • Permanent work authorization for the USA REQUIRED

Ideal Experience/Minimum Qualifications:

  • Minimum of two (2) years’ experience as a field technician or technical support position in the automation and controls industry
  • Associates Degree or higher
  • Prior experience with valve actuation and/or control products is preferred
  • Electrical and pneumatic actuator troubleshooting experience
  • Experience with Multimeter Troubleshooting of Electrical Systems
  • Ability to configure, calibrate and commission digital equipment
  • Knowledge of DCS and PLC control systems, writing PLC code a plus.
  • Network experience (Ethernet/IP, DeviceNET, Profibus and Modbus networks).
  • Demonstrate competency in operating a computer and integrating to sensors and networks.
  • Ability to self motivate and work independently with little supervision in a dynamic and fast paced environment, to organize and prioritize workload, to handle daily time management to meet workload, and to work cooperatively as part of a team.
  • Travel, as required (up to 10%) to provide field evaluation and repair relating to the warrantee repair and installation of Bray products.
  • Write comprehensive service call reports.
  • Perform product testing/troubleshooting as required.
  • Process product returns and evaluations of valves & actuators returned from the field and generate evaluation reports.
  • Computer skills: MS Office applications (Excel, Word, Outlook) LN, outlook, CRM and other applicable software
  • Able to Lift 50 Lbs. or less periodically
  • Must have a valid driver’s license
