The Seminole Tribe of Florida's Integrative Health Department provide Diabetes, Health Education, and Nutrition Services Programs that are designed to achieve optimal health through wellness promotion and disease prevention events, programs, and consultations. We are looking for an Administrative Assistant to be based on the Hollywood Reservation 111 W Coral Way, Hollywood, FL 33021. We also put together Wellness Fairs, Farmers Markets, etc so it may involve some local day travel including to other Reservations. Note this is a full-time position, mainly Monday to Friday 8am to 5pm however some days may have an earlier start/later end to the work day since we need to set up/break down the events. Some events may fall on weekends and secondary holidays.
Position Summary
The incumbent in this position is responsible for assisting the Integrative Health Team in a variety of administrative and office support services. Work involves assignments that require independence in making decisions and obtaining solutions while adhering to and/or operating within established policies, rules and guidelines. The individual prepares correspondence, reviews special reports and maintains inventory control of equipment and supplies for the Integrative Health Programs; prepares and makes travel arrangements, completes purchase orders, files, maintains and performs other administrative duties.
Qualifications / Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent GED is required. A minimum of one (1) year of experience providing administrative support in an office setting is required. Knowledge in Medical terminology, common travel preparation and simple accounting are preferred. Familiarity with office equipment, office policies, practices and procedures are required. Possession of a valid Florida Driver’s License. Demonstrate excellent interpersonal and organizational skills. Demonstrate excellent organizational and interpersonal skills, including excellent written and verbal communication skills. Demonstrate proficiency in Microsoft office software (word, excel, PowerPoint, etc.) Ability to travel across Reservations and work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends and holidays.

- This position is Monday through Friday from 8am to 5pm with an hour lunch. It is to based at the Hollywood Reservation located at 111 W Coral Way, Hollywood, FL 33021. There is some day travel throughout the week to our other clinics in Clewiston, Okeechobee, and Hollywood. There are work vehicles to borrow for driving to other sites. On event days like Wellness Fairs, we may need to change the schedule to accommodate set up/break down of the event. This can include some weekends and secondary holidays.
