Administrative Assistant Job at Systems Resource Management
Systems Resource Management, Inc. (SRM) is currently seeking an Administrator to support the Training Systems Implementation Team (TSIT) program at the Submarine Learning Center (SLC) in Groton, CT.
Tasks and responsibilities in this role include:
- Perform day-to-day administrative tasks.
- Review outgoing correspondence and reports for format, style, spelling, and grammar to ensure their accuracy.
- Properly and timely route correspondence and material.
- Track classified material and maintain associated logs.
- Prepare and package mail and media per Navy guidance.
- Organize and maintains files, reports and office records.
- Attend meetings and keep meeting notes.
- Resolve minor problems independently through use of appropriate guidelines.
Skills/Qualifications:
Required:
- 3 years of administrative experience or experience in the Navy YN/YNS rating fields.
- High School Diploma/GED or equivalent.
- Strong understanding of Microsoft Office products.
- Excellent keyboarding and production skills.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Department of Defense (DoD) security clearance.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Strong organizational and multi-tasking skills.
- Ability to work effectively, manage expectations, and interact with internal and external customers at all levels.
- Ability to use automated office equipment and a variety of software.
Preferred:
- Active DoD Secret clearance.
- Understanding of Navy terminology and correspondence.
- Some college experience or course work in Business Administration or Education.
- Significant experience in Office management.
