Our purpose [of Seminaries and Institutes of Religion, S&I] is to help youth and young adults deepen their conversion to Jesus Christ and His restored gospel, qualify for the blessings of the temple; prepare themselves, their families, and others for eternal life with their Father in Heaven.
This entry level individual contributor role performs a wide variety of administrative tasks to support a work group, department/area, or one or more organization leader such as a manager or director. Employees at this level work with direct oversight and receive direct and detailed instruction on tasks to be performed.
- Compiles data/information and prepares correspondence, documents, and reports (including creating charts and graphs).
- Maintains and updates calendars, schedules and coordinates meetings, makes travel arrangements.
- Answers routine telephone and email requests.
- Reviews and distributes mail.
- Creates and maintains paper and/or electronic filing systems.
- May perform data entry activities.
Required:
- High school diploma or equivalent plus two years' post high school education or training.
- 1+ year of secretarial or administrative assistant experience.
- Basic office skills including simple research abilities, knowledge of the operation and maintenance of standard office equipment, and basic familiarity with standard office software sufficient to create or modify spreadsheets and word processing documents.
- Ability to communicate professionally in writing and verbally.
- To successfully perform the essential functions of the job there may be physical requirements which need to be met such as sitting for long periods of time, moving about the office to deliver mail and other items, and using computer monitors/equipment.
