As a Safety Administrator you will establish, implement, and maintain controls for documents and records in support of our Safety & Quality program. You will report to the Manager of Safety & Quality.

What You'll Do

  • Establish, implement, and conform to ISO9001 requirements
  • Comply with and track all required third-party health and safety programs
  • Maintain OSHA records, Safety Data Sheets, accident records and DOT/Drivers files
  • Contribute to the Company’s quality and safety policies and strategy
  • Reporting and tracking of orientations, training, audits, incident reports, and other related documents
  • Coordinate safety events and meetings as directed by Safety Manager
  • Prepare responses to correspondence containing routine inquiries
  • Ensure all reported claims are investigated and reported in a timely manner and provide additional information as warranted
  • Assist in communications and presentations for New Employee Orientation, Safety Committee, leadership and company communications to enhance the development of safety initiatives
  • Complete monthly safety metrics to Gold Shovel
  • Prepare meeting notes, presentations, memorandums, proposals, and correspondence
  • Processes and monitor departmental invoices
  • Maintain and update driver credentials records, driver’s credentials lists, and drug and alcohol records
  • Create and maintain Driver Qualification files for all new driver hires
  • Perform other responsibilities as requested by leadership

What You'll Have

  • 2 years of professional level experience in workplace safety programs preferred
  • Prior safety LMS experience preferred
  • Possess an intermediate to advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel (formula’s, formatting, pivot tables, data filter, graphs) and Outlook
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred
  • Extreme attention to detail
  • Excellent communication skills both written and oral
  • The ability to manage pressure and conflicting demands and prioritize tasks and workload
  • Ability and willingness to represent NPL to the public, customers and governmental agencies in a professional manner showing honesty, integrity and reliability
  • Well-organized, self-motivated and team player
  • Articulate person who can relate to people at all levels of the Company

Work Environment

  • Work is performed in a typical indoor office environment
  • Flexibility to work various schedules and stay late when necessary with little or no notice
  • Must be able to read documents, use a computer, communicate verbally and in writing
  • Mobility required within an office, warehouse and construction site environments
  • Ability to occasionally lift up to 20 pounds

Legal Stuff
