This position is located at the Milliken Allen Plant located in Blacksburg, SC and reports to a Production Manager. A Chemical Operator is a key role in the chemical manufacturing processes. We are looking for employees with current relevant manufacturing experience and/or chemical manufacturing experience to hire full-time. These experienced Operators will be able to work safely as a team member in a chemical manufacturing environment, learn chemical processing and obtain multiple job certifications to progress to top pay.


Job Responsibilities

  • Operation of a forklift
  • Complete pour up of chemicals with directions
  • Fill/Bag product up to 50 pounds
  • Basic chemical blending using recipes
  • Safety participation in all aspects
  • Lifting various raw materials
  • Manhandling drums less than 50 pounds
  • Ability to multi-task
  • Work both as a team member and independently
  • Rotate 12 hour shifts 1st/3rd


Required Qualifications:

  • Computer skills
  • High School Diploma/GED
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, work under pressure, and meet deadlines
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal

Qualifications Preferred:

  • Prior experience in a chemical or manufacturing environment
  • Associates Degree
  • Forklift experience
  • SAP experience


Pay:

  • Dependent upon qualifications
    • prior chemical handling/mfg experience or 3+ years of related manufacturing will be considered for direct hire above entry rate
  • Entry rate: $22/hr
  • Advancement potential: $26.00+/hr
  • Weekly Attendance Premium of 7%
  • Holiday/Vacation Pay
  • Uniforms
  • Nurse Practitioner on-site weekly
  • Eligible for benefits on 1st day of employment: medical, dental, vision, life insurance, HSA and/or FSA
  • Eligible for 401K contributions on 90th day of employment
