Job Title: After-Care Assistant, Pat-time (16 hours a week)
Reports to: Principal
Location: St. Charles Borromeo Catholic School School | Port Charlotte, FL
Summary:
St. Charles Borromeo Catholic School is seeking a part-time After Care Assistant. This position is responsible for the care of students of different age ranges from the time they are dismissed from school until they are pick-up. Job responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Duties and Responsibilities
- Have a structured homework time and assist when needed
- Disburse snacks
- Keep the students safe and keep a structured play time
- To adhere to all St. Charles and Diocesan policies relating to the students and families
- Keep attendance and have parents sign students upon pick up Works with students in Pre K 3 to 8th grade
- Keeps accurate attendance
- Reports any incidents to the principal
- Keeps the After-Care room in good order including the computers, toys, and other resources
- Monitors student behavior based on the school's mission and policies
- Keeps parents informed of any changes in the After-Care schedule or program
Qualifications
- Experience with children of all ages
- Professional and positive demeanor
- Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
- Possesses good classroom management skills
- Ability to maintain confidential student information
- Must uphold our Catholic Values and mission of the school
