Aftercare Teacher for our Toddler environment - 18 months to 3 years of age

• 2/3pm to 5:45pm

Qualifications:

• MUST HAVE AT LEAST ONE YEAR IN A PROFFESIONAL CHILDCARE SETTING.
• College level Early Childhood Education and/or experience- preferred
• Start date flexible. Anytime from now to June 2023.

Job Responsibilities:

We are looking for an individual that thrives in a peaceful Montessori environment. They oversee the toddler aftercare program. This includes: outside time, indoor activities, parent pick u p, ect. This person would be looking for the opportunity to work with children and gently guide their interactions with their friends, environment and the materials. Responsibilities include preparing activities for the children both in the classroom and outdoor environment, supervision of the children, maintaining and fostering positive and constructive, developmentally-focused interactions with the students, and maintaining a safe and clean environment.

Description of our Schools and Communities:

Our school opened in Fall 1999. Our faculty and staff have had the pleasure of helping thousands of wonderful children grow intellectually, socially, emotionally, and developmentally. The school has eight classrooms; four Primary (2.5 – 6 years) classrooms and four Toddler classrooms (18 – 36 months). Our caring, experienced faculty members are dedicated to providing rich educational experiences for each child while guiding them through the Montessori classroom at their individual pace. In addition to our bright, well-equipped classrooms, our outdoor play and garden areas are wonderful, expansive environments for recreation and exploration.

We offer an academic day from 8:30 a.m. - 3 p.m. and have extended care for children from 7:30 a.m. - 5:30 p.m.

Authentic Montessori programs run year-round, with our academic year supplemented by a summer session in July and August. Our Montessori classrooms are arranged to allow for exploration in Practical Life, Sensorial, Language Arts, Mathematics, Creative Work and the Sciences (Geography, Botany, Zoology, History, and Social Sciences). School visits and enrollment appointments must be scheduled in advance.
