- Bachelor’s degree
- 12 semester hours of college credit in early childhood development, child development, child psychology, or the equivalent or hold CDA credential or Montessori certificate
- At least 21 years of age.
- Valid Alaska drivers license required.
- Successful supervisory or management experience
- Ability to use personal computers and related software
- Prior paid experience in working with children
- Prior experience in after school, licensed day care center, or summer program management and coordination
- CPR and first aid
- Grant Administration
- Familiarity with Alaska Administrative Code for Licensed Childcare Centers and or 21st Century CCLC or willing to learn

POSITION SUMMARY:
Provides overall management of all JSD after school programs including 21st Century Community Learning Center Program’s and Recreation, Arts, Learning and Leadership for Youth (RALLY) afterschool and summer school programs. Is under the direct supervision of the Director of Administrative Services or Designee, and works closely with Teaching and Learning Support. This is an exempt position and is not represented by any bargaining unit.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills and abilities required to satisfactorily perform the essential duties and responsibilities.
Compensation: This job class is a Classified Exempt position working 262 days (12 months). Salary range L on the Classified Exempt Salary Schedule - the range is roughly $62,000 - $95,000. Salary placement will be determined upon the successful candidate's experience and qualifications. We also offer an excellent benefit package including health, dental, vision and life insurance, Public Employees Retirement System (PERS), and paid sick and vacation days.
