Responsible for the onboarding and ongoing support of assigned Agile squads to maximize their success. Fosters Agile mindset and culture across the organization. Provides consulting to both technical and business staff assigned to Agile squads. Responsible for building a culture of continuous improvement and learning. Provides training and coaching on Agility and all aspects of the project and software development lifecycles. Demonstrates hands-on expertise with Continuous Delivery practices and tools. Provides ongoing recommendations regarding process, tools and implementation roadmap.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Support technology and business leaders in the creation and onboarding of Agile squads as needed
- Identification of training needs and alignment of team members with appropriate training
- Actively engage with assigned Agile squads, coaching them in Agile processes and mindset, and the understanding and utilization of delivery metrics to drive continuous improvement
- Deliver Agile training for multiple levels and groups within the organization
- Advise and lead Communities of Practice for Agile leaders, practitioners, and other interested individuals
- Collaborate with other Agile coaches, squads and leaders to identify and implement systematic enhancements to standards, tools or processes
- Guide leadership in creating and focusing on business results, not technical results
- Foster collaboration between Agile squads and shared services to focus on technical excellence and increased adoption and efficiency of Continuous Deployment practices
- Understand business structure and functions, and collaborate to foster and enhance organizational agility
- Partner with Agile squads and leadership to identify and mitigate risk
- Instill an Agile mindset and culture across the organization
- Coach and guide leaders to embody servant leadership and strengthen their understanding and adoption of Agile values and principles
- Teach and coach Scrum Masters to become effective Agile leaders who build strong teams
- Coach facilitation of Agile events at all levels, facilitating sessions as needed
- Advise and guide Agile, product, business and tech leaders on role clarity and responsibilities to effectively collaborate and lead Agile squads
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelors in Information Technology, Business, Finance or related field; or equivalent work experience
- Minimum 3 years' (5+ years’ preferred) experience, with agile project delivery practices using SCRUM and/or Kanban
- Demonstrable experience with the coaching stances of Professional Coaching, Facilitating, Mentoring and Teaching
- Advanced knowledge of Agile/Continuous Delivery concepts
- Strong analysis, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent organizational skills
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, & Power Point)
- Experience using various agile project delivery toolsets e.g. Jira, Microsoft Azure DevOps, Jira Align etc. to visualize progress, risks, challenges and coaching opportunities
- Ability to prioritize support across assigned squads
- Ability to develop and deliver presentations to various stakeholder groups (includes line of business, technology and operations)
- Deep expertise in project methodology and software development lifecycle.
PREFERRED SKILLS / QUALIFICATIONS:
- Certified Agile Coach (Scrum Alliance CTC, ICAgile ICP-ACC, International Coaching Federation ICF-ACC or ICF-PCC) or equivalent
- Certified Scrum Master (CSM), Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) or equivalent
COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS
This position is eligible to earn a base salary in the range of $75,400 to $130,000 annually depending on job-related factors such as level of experience.
