Purpose of Position: The Customer Marketing Manager is responsible for demand creation and price discipline in the assigned geography.
Key Skills and Abilities:
- Minimum of 5 years' experience in marketing, sales, or product development roles
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Agriculture or Business-related fields is required
- Strong and visible leadership- Ability to quickly establish credibility and utilize strategic thinking to shape the team and strategic plan within the functional organization as well as in partnership with cross-functional stakeholders
- Impact and influence- ability to influence, develop and maintain effective internal/ external relationships to facilitate change, with and without authority, and ensure cohesion across the organization. Able to promote and secure buy-in from a cross-functional leadership team and peer groups within the organization
- Interpersonal effectiveness- is sensitive to different points of view and seeks to understand and resolve conflicts/ issues in a constructive manner. Able to operate effectively and comfortably with diverse cultures, in strange and challenging situations, and to direct and instruct in a respectful and polite manner
- Effective communication - Ability to, both verbally and in writing, communicate strategy and information to key stakeholders at all levels of the organization (internal/external) especially influencing across organization and departments to ensure alignment and deliver results
- Apply practical experience with communications, culture, and change management
- Understanding of cross-functional and functional coordination
- Experience implementing and overseeing the quality of deliverables and effectively managing the team and day-to-day relationships to ensure exceptional performance
- Experience with staff development and eagerness to mentor junior practitioners

Key Responsibilities and Deliverables:
- Support field sales and will work directly with the Director of Sales, Customer Marketing Director, and Sales Managers
- Develop and implement a marketing strategy for the division which aims at actively increasing market share and improving financial performance
- For assigned geography, lead customer segmentation, targeting, and offer development by segment including suggested product selection by segment
- Partner with sales on pricing strategy and execution including in-season adjustments for the assigned geography Particular focus on the top 80% of products by a gross margin for assigned geography
- Guide the launch of strategic marketing initiatives such as the APEX experience
- Continuously analyze markets and identify marketing-related risks and opportunities
- Key coordination point between field sales and branded technology to develop branded product launches
- Support sales and supplier relations team on product strategy and execution
- Manage and ensure the execution of all marketing plans (strategic and tactical) which have been developed in consultation with the key stakeholders such as sales, branded technologies, and supplier relations
- Manage and attain budget objectives
Compensation and Benefits:
- In compliance with all states and cities requiring transparency of pay, the base compensation for this position ranges from $98,800 to $138,267. Note that salary may vary based on location, skills, and experience. This position is eligible for vacation, holidays, health, dental, vision, mental health, retirement plans, and other benefits.
