As an Ambassador, you will serve as the first point of contact for clients, showing the love of Christ through building relationships and guiding them to choose the help that will end their homelessness._

Essential Duties & Responsibilities: *

Welcomes clients to Atlanta Mission and works to develop relationships

• Performs new client orientation and explains types of services offered by Atlanta Mission
• Meets client's needs by providing bed rolls, hygiene and clothing items, Marta cards, etc.
• Monitors the activity of clients ensuring safety, security, and compliance with campus guidelines
• Assists clients within guidelines in processing issues and conflict resolution using de-escalation techniques
• Responds to admission inquiries
• Admits and administers initial assessment for clients using the client management system
• Schedules client appointments and referrals for assessments with Social Worker
• Teaches life skills classes and leads recreational opportunities

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: *

• A minimum of one year of experience working in a similar environment
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment, working cross-functionally and collaboratively
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment where multi-tasking is constant
• Able to work with minimal supervision
• Ability to speak effectively in front of a diverse group
• Understand and exercises discernment
• Ability to resolve conflict effectively and utilizes appropriate techniques
