Position Summary

Summary:

The LRH Analytics team is looking for an experienced Analytics Management Consultant I who enjoys exploring meaningful data to identify the that will positively impact our communities health and well being. In this role you will be responsible for aligning with executive vision, defining how to model the vision in collaboration with data scientists, immersing yourself in the data and drawing out relevant insights that guide decisions to achieve the vision. You will communicate your findings in a structured manner leveraging leading tools like Tableau. Ultimately, you become a guiding force that supports the strategic initiatives of LRH and provides a decisive competitive advantage in delivering quality care to the community.

The Analytics Management Consultant I reports to the Manager of Analytics. This position is an advanced technical professional role responsible for exploring and analyzing data across the enterprise and presenting information and key insights that supports the organization’s strategies. The Analytics Management Consultant will have knowledge across multiple technical environments as well as strong business acumen and can provide expertise regarding systems design, integration and performance analysis across the business. The role promotes shared infrastructure and applications to reduce costs and improve information flows, and it ensures that new technology solutions do not duplicate functionality or diverge from each other and business and IT strategies. This role will interface with the business and IT community to ensure that the right people have access to the right data in the right format at the right time.

The Analytics Management Consultant I will identify and prioritize opportunities for and contribute to the improvement of quality, safety and cost, as well as Patient, Customer, Physician and Employee satisfaction. She is expected to perform all work in accordance with all relevant LRMC hospital and IS standards, policies, and procedures. She may perform other duties as assigned.

  • Create a strong bond with leadership to understand strategic goals, business decisions and desired outcomes, defining requirements for data, reporting and analysis
  • Prepare written and graphical summaries on the interpretation of analyzed data and scenarios that drive action toward strategic goals and outcome measures.
  • Initiate strategic dashboard and report development, using various applications and analyzing financial, market, clinical, quality and various outside data sets.
  • Proactively identify, collect, organize, analyze, and interpret data and statistical information to understand patterns that will support decision making and direction to leadership in achieving strategic goals
  • Drive working deep dive sessions into operational analysis and gap reporting to identify adverse outcomes, opportunities for improvement, and efficiencies across the health system.

Qualifications & Experience

Education:

Essential:
  • Bachelor's Degree

Preferred:

  • Master's Degree

Education equivalent experience:

Essential:
  • Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics or related field

Experience:
Essential:
12+ years proven experience as a Data Analyst, Business Analyst, or Financial Analyst
12+ years of professional experience in business analytics, business intelligence (BI) or comparable analyst position handling large, complex data sets
Knowledge of data warehousing concepts.
Experience in data mining, ETL, SQL etc. and using databases in a business environment with large-scale, complex datasets.

Preferred:

Strong operational business understanding, including potential impact of business decisions on various internal/external stakeholders
Demonstrated resourcefulness and ability to find or develop compelling data given limited resources and time
Understanding of LRH data structures and architecture
Demonstrated high degree of organization and ability to manage multiple, competing priorities
Predictive and/or prescriptive model development

Six Sigma, Lean, PMI
