Spectrum Health Lakeland is seeking a full-time Advanced Practitioner to join our expanding Critical Care team in Southwest Michigan. Desire candidates who are patient-centered and team-oriented. Experienced practitioners with ICU or emergency medicine backgrounds, preferred.
The Critical Care Team provides 24/7 inpatient coverage at Lakeland Medical Center, St. Joseph and Lakeland Hospital, Niles. Facilities includes a state-of-the-art 18-bed Critical Care Unit (St. Joseph) and 8-Bed Critical Care Unit (Niles). Block-style schedule with providers rotating seven (7) consecutive days on followed by seven (7) days off. Shifts are from 7:00am to 7:00pm, and 7:00pm to 7:00am. Epic electronic health record is used for documentation.
Opportunity to rotate between shifts and sites. Practitioners will function autonomously and independent with on-site support provided during daily rounds with an intensivist physician. Back up provided via phone or telemedicine.
Team includes 10 physicians and anticipated 6 advanced practitioners. Procedures include performing central line, arterial line and intubation. A variety of sub-specialists available for referrals and collaboration opportunities on patient care.
