University Orthopaedic Associates - a Division of Ortho NJ, is a leading orthopedic practice which provides a full spectrum of orthopedic care. Our board certified surgeons each with subspecialty training offer the best care in sports medicine, arthroscopic surgery, joint replacement, traumatology, hand and upper extremity surgery, foot and ankle surgery and surgery of the spine.

We have an exciting opportunity for you to join our Somerset Team as a Full-Time Appointment Scheduler.

To qualify for the Appointment Scheduler position, candidates must have:

· High school diploma or equivalent

· A minimum of one (1) year of customer service experience

· Knowledge of hospital/ physician billing system – (a plus)

· Excellent communication and organization skills

· Knowledge of healthcare terminology (medical/ orthopaedic beneficial)

· Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel)

The Appointment Scheduler’s responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

· Answer phone calls and e-mails, greeting patients and prospective patients and reminding them of upcoming appointments

· Accurately scheduling appointments for patient consultations, procedures and visits with medical personnel

· Liaise and coordinate with health care professionals about schedules, patients and any changes

· Resolve scheduling conflicts as they occur
