Description:

Tivy High School has approximately 1,500 students with almost 20 sports programs and approximately 30 clubs/organizations on campus.

Kerr County Young Life has a rich history on KISD campuses and in the community which serves several smaller Texas Hill Country towns as the "Capital of the Hill Country." It's an hour from Young Life's newest camp, LoneHollow Ranch, and located on a major interstate for easy access to metro areas like San Antonio in less than an hour, but you'll find you don't need to leave home much.

There is currently one Young Life club and one WyldLife club along with 12 active Campaigners groups and a growing committee. We have a staff associate starting their second year and several other Young Life areas and full-time staff around the Texas Hill Country to work alongside to find great resources, friends and support.

Kerr County is home to dozens of independent summer camps, so it has a great outdoors culture boasting the Guadalupe River as the center of town. University in Kerrville (Schreiner University), with its 1,200-student population, has potential of being part of this growing ministry. There is a history of YoungLives that closed in 2020 but could be restarted, and several small towns in the county to grow into with the right team and vision.

Responsibilities:

• Recruit, train and continue to add to an existing volunteer team for Young Life and WyldLife.
• Continue to support and lead current staff and the volunteer team.
• Work alongside the current committee to train and grow that team as well as raise the area budget while maintaining excellent presence and reputation in the community and with local churches.

Qualifications:

• Preferred five or more years Young Life staff or other full-time ministry experience.
• Familiarity with non-profit organization structure and proven fundraising experience will be beneficial.
• Administrative skills are a bonus as there isn't an area administrator.
• Will need to raise personal support that can be discussed as part of the area budget.
