REPORTS TO: Project or District Manager. Also responds to requests/instructions from the customer.
DEFINITION:
1. The Area Manager may/will interview and hire the crew.
2. The Area Manager is a part-time or full-time person responsible for assisting a Production Supervisor or District Manager with supervision of several accounts.
3. The Area Manager is responsible for ensuring that the accounts are cleaned according to contract specifications. He or she supervises the cleaning crews.
4. He or she conducts the orientation and training, counsels and disciplines subordinates; orders and delivers supplies and sends equipment for repair (or repairs on site) as needed.
5. May be subject to 24-hour on-call responsibilities.
DUTIES:
1. Maintains and delivers supplies and equipment. Keeps track of cleaning chemicals and supplies used and ensures that sufficient items are on hand to properly clean the building.
2. Safeguards and is accountable for all equipment, tools, and supplies.
3. Inspect janitorial closets for compliance with safety standards.
4. Fills in for absent cleaners.
5. Performs special tasks such as stripping and refinishing floors, carpet care, etc.
6. Administers ACS personnel policies in accordance with the ACS personnel policy manual.
7. Enforces the account/District dress code.
8. Assists in training new Supervisors/Lead People.
9. Maintains equipment. Picks up equipment needing repair, brings it to the office, and returns it to the account when repaired. May also repair equipment.
10. Other duties as required.
