Area Manager, Group Sales Inside Support at our
Michigan's Adventure location. The Area Manager, Group Sales Inside Support is a member of leadership team providing support in all aspects of the Group Sales department including managing the successful coordination of group events, ticket order processing, reporting, data entry, as well as coordination of developing and printing of all marketing and group sales collateral through the corporate printing services. Responsible for servicing and managing all good-any-day ticket programs and online stores for the Group Sales department. Resolves guest service concerns and answer inquiries as needed
Responsibilities:
- Leads inside sales support functions for the Regional Sales team to ensure full execution of revenue driven guest experience, including but not limited to, preparing, and creating ticket contracts, preparing routine correspondence, entering ticket orders, compiling information for reports, and working with the corporate design team for creation of promotional materials and sales tools for the group sales team.
- Manages and maintains all aspects of the group sales good any day ticket programs producing revenue of $500,000 - $1,500,000. Places ticket orders, creates online stores, creates promotional materials, and works with the client to help increase and drive ticket sales for the programs.
- Responsible for group sales product codes for the ticketing system. Responsible for all group sales ticket orders being processed in a timely and accurate manner for all scheduled events, consignment, pre-paid, and non-catered event orders. Manages the affiliate store product process including requesting new stores, adding products, and ensuring overall accuracy for event execution. Oversees and leads planning and logistics for all special events and park buyouts, (includes events for thousands of guests).
- Independently completes a full review and analysis of various records and reports including ticket contracts, picnic contracts, and ticket order forms. Prepares, monitors, and tracks attendance sheets, postal/delivery requests, purchase orders, order forms, charts, and various reports, records, forms, memos, and correspondence.
- Acts as part of the Leadership Team overseeing catered event execution for the group sales department as well as manages and problems solves for all front gate guest concerns.
- Collaborates and communicates with Leaders and guests across park, such as the immediate supervisor, other park managers, co-workers, other Park employees, clients / potential clients, vendors, and the public. Participates in park task force meetings as requested and serves as Marketing/Sales Officer of the Day as scheduled.
- High School Degree/GED required. Bachelor’s degree preferred
- 2-4 years’ experience in sales or marketing
- Knowledge of basic business software applications. ticketing and CRM systems
- Ability to multi-task, strong time, and project management skills
- Advanced written and oral communication skills, accurate data entry skills
- Ability to pass a background check, if 18 years of age or older, which may include, but is not limited to, credit, criminal, DMV, previous employment, education and personal references, per Company policy, unless prohibited by federal, state, or provincial law.
- Ability to work nights, weekends, and holiday periods to meet business needs.
- Must possess a valid Driver's License.
