Atlantic Hotels Group is seeking an experienced, hands-on leader to fill our Area Sales Manager role for four (4) beautiful Multi-branded hotels, located in the Waco Area.

PRIMARY PURPOSE: To generate top line room revenue for a cluster of hotels and to meet or exceed budget expectations. Work closely with established General Managers and Director of Sales to develop an effective group business development plan.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Actively solicits new business opportunities through prospecting new customers. Uses network channels to open doors to new customers.
  • Seeks methods to penetrate key business activities within the marketplace and finds profitable ways to bring this business to the hotel through phone calls, appointments, tours, written correspondence and entertainment.
  • Develops long-term relationships with venues or potential clients by maintaining consistent verbal and written communications and providing good customer service, networking to uncover other decision makers.
  • Respond to RFP's.
  • Outline available hotel space and facilities. Quote pricing, meeting with clients and hotel department managers to plan function details, space requirements, food service and décor.
  • Maintains detailed information of all activity into property's CRM system.
  • Responds to guest inquiries and coordinates special arrangements and requests.
  • Mentors less experienced sales staff.
  • Resolves guest complaints within scope of authority, otherwise refers the matter

to upper management. Notifies supervisor and/or Security of all unusual events

or circumstances.

  • Participate in associate functions, client and guest events, and community events.
  • Attend and/or lead weekly sales/ operations meetings.
  • Complete daily/weekly and monthly sales call reports.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Direct hospitality or Cluster Sales experience (minimum 2 years)
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work as team player with Excellent guest relations skills.
  • College degree and/or equivalent sales experience required.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence customers and provide excellent service.

JOB SETTING AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS

To perform the job successfully the candidate must be able to use a computer and other standard office equipment. Fluency in the English language and the ability to speak, hear, read and write are required as is the ability to work any hours/days of the week and weekends necessary to meet business requirements.
