First, the pay:

CBI has been leading the way in increasing wages for Security Officers in the Salt Lake Valley. In 2022, we have negotiated pay raises for 80% of our contracts and are working weekly to improve our officers' standard of living.

As of this posting, we have positions available starting at $18 and up. CBI highly prefers to promote from within our ranks, and we have supervisor and other opportunities to work that will be very surprising.

What will you do (responsibilities)?

Our sites have a LARGE range of various responsibilities. However, in general you will be responsible for:

• Observing and reporting any issues arising to authorities
• Responding appropriately and calmly to diverse situations
• Controlling the entries and exits of secured locations, ensuring only authorized employees and approved visitors are admitted.
• Writing and reading day-to-day accounts of activities on site
• Carefully patrolling an area by vehicle or foot as assigned
• Diligently observing computer systems to monitor camera and badge apps
• Expertly and professionally applying client's policies, procedures and standards in each interaction with public or employees.

What do we require to hire?

• Must be 18 years or older
• Need to be able to pass drug and background check
• Veterans must provide DD-214
• Need to be able to use apps on computers and smartphones
• Must be able to exercise good judgment/decisions and practice appropriate grooming standards
• Integrity and flexibility are both vital in security professions
• Physically able to walk up/down stairs and stay alert for entire shift
• Successful completion of our no-cost, one-day basic unarmed security license class
