Assembler 1st, 2nd or 3rd shift Job at Oliver Healthcare Packaging
Position Summary
Hand assembles products following customer job specifications; ensures quality of product meets or exceeds spec. Follows all established SOP’s. Wears required attire to ensure cleanliness of product and process.
Primary Responsibilities / Essential Functions
- Quality Standards: studies production order, drawing, manufacturing and customer specifications; verifying specifications with supervisor and quality assurance department, as needed.
- Product Quality: physically and manually inspects all products and dimensional characteristics, verifies materials meet spec. Follows SOP’s and Work Instructions regarding non-conformances.
- Product Production: performs hand assembly via folding machine, die cutter, cleaner machine and bar sealer.
- Packaging Material: reviews order requirements and expected product output per shift or assignment. Preps boxes, liners bags and other supplies per spec.
- Label Creation: reviews production order and specifications. Inputs information in computer and printing required labels. Ensures accuracy of all data entered.
- Documentation: verifies order counts; utilizes basic math; accurately reads measuring rule, and completes required paperwork conforming to department work instructions.
- Assembly Completion: obtains Quality Assurance approval. Segregates rejects; records and summarizes inspection process following established department work instructions. Notifies operator of defects.
- Department Schedule: works the standard shift as well as extra hours, as needed.
Basic Qualifications
Education
- High school diploma or GED required.
Experience
- Minimum related work experience required.
- Demonstrate ability in reading and following instructions, attention to detail, trouble shooting, basic mathematical aptitude, ability to accurately measure, and ability to effectively communicate.

- Ensures quality of product meets customer requirements
- Reports non-compliant materials to QA immediately or as required by policy.
Physical Requirements
Employee is required to stand, bend, kneel, walk, sit, balance, handle or feel objects; tools or controls; reach with hands and arms.
- Employee must be able to lift and/or move 25 to 50 lbs.
- Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision; distance vision; color vision; peripheral vision; depth perception; and the ability to adjust focus.
Working Conditions
- Manufacturing environment.
- Hearing protection recommended.
- Hair, beard nets and smocks and/or Tyvek suits required.
- Gloves ARE required for all products or functions. Except for products involving tape
Special Requirements
- Ability to work evenings and/or weekends
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
