JOB SUMMARY

The Assessment Specialist is responsible for grades K-5 standards based education plan and program worksheets according to the approved operating procedure checklist. The Assessment Specialist is responsible for grades 6-8 standards based education plan and Google Classroom assignments according to the approved operating procedure checklist. The Assessment Specialist is responsible for grades 9-12 A-G compliant education plan and Google Classroom assignments according to the approved operating procedure checklist.

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Create a weekly schedule for K-12 students to complete binders and Google Classroom assignments.
  • Assist students in completing weekly required program worksheets.
  • Assist students in completing self-assessments on student’s abilities to complete program worksheets.
  • Verify each student completes their individual education program.
  • Verify each student completes their self-assessment for each program worksheet.
  • Maintain a written daily log of comments about the student’s ability to complete program worksheets.
  • On a weekly basis, provide the Education Director with written comments about the student’s ability to complete the program worksheets.
  • On a bi-weekly basis, meet with the Education Director to review and discuss the progress and development of the Indian Individual Education Plans (IIEP).
  • Work from 2:30-6:30 pm on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays. Work from 1:00-6:30pm on Wednesdays. Available to work additional hours if requested by Education Director.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Education or related field.
  • At least one year of teaching.
  • Must be able to implement the directives given by Education Director.
  • Have good interpersonal skills.
  • Have a neat and clean personal appearance.
  • Ability to concentrate on work in an environment that may be noisy or intense.
  • Able to regularly stand, walk, sit, and use their hands and fingers, so as to handle or feel objects, tools or controls.
  • Can demonstrate effective and diplomatic communication skills, which includes contact with staff, tribal members, students, parents, and other government officials.
  • Must demonstrate experience performing within specific deadlines or under pressure.
  • Must demonstrate the experience, education and training that indicate possession of the knowledge, skills and abilities listed above.
  • Ability to communicate effectively both written and orally.
  • Must have the ability to resolve problems/conflicts in a diplomatic and tactful manner.
  • Must pass pre-contract drug testing. Must pass a background investigation.
  • Must possess a valid Driver’s License, and reliable transportation.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $30.00 - $35.00 per hour
