Union Bank has a career opportunity to grow on the Retail Banking team for the Ada and Cascade Branches as an Assistant Branch Manager.
Position Summary
The Assistant Branch Manager is responsible for supporting the Branch Manager with overall operation of the branch office and driving growth of a Union Bank branch while facilitating career development of staff. The Assistant Branch Manager ensures that the branch is providing outstanding service to Union Bank customers and their employees as well as line of business partners. The Assistant Branch Manager will assist in leading and coaching a team that drives consultative sales discussions, memorable customer service experiences and operational excellence within the branch. The Assistant Branch Manager will promote business growth through the development of deposits, assets, fee-based products and services, and the development and retention of new and existing consumer and business customers.
The Assistant Branch Manager will refer customers for products and services uncovered during interactions and/or conversations. Responsible and accountable for risk by openly exchanging ideas and opinions, elevating concerns, and personally following policies and procedures as defined. Accountable for always doing the right thing for customers and colleagues, and ensures that actions and behaviors drive a positive customer experience.
Essential Functions
Leadership
- Support Branch Manager in regards to oversight for sales, service and operations as well as the performance of branch staff. 2. Lead team to provide excellent customer service with the ability to effectively resolve customer issues. 3. Support the Branch Manager in sourcing, developing, coaching and leading a team that reinforces Union Banks core values, business objectives and employee performance standards. 4. Demonstrates and maintains a working knowledge of Union Bank's products, services, processes, and internal resources to stay informed, guide and lead the team.
- Drive team's performance and lead by example in the following areas; Customer Service, Sales & Referrals, and Operational Excellence.

- Overall branch oversight for , service and operations and operations through individual performance and that of the Teller and Relationship Banker staff. Will lead this effort independently and in partnership with the Branch Manager.
Sales and Service
Promote good customer experiences by consistently providing best in class customer satisfaction.- Process a variety of transactions by running a cash drawer; including but not limited to; check cashing, deposits, withdrawals, and payments.
- Leverage available tools and technology to identify and present sales and service opportunities. 4. Lead by example through the use of consultative sales practices to proactively identify and recommend products and services that align a current or prospective customers financial needs. 5. Managing portfolio of high value consumer and business customer relationships. 6. Leads the process of referring customers to other areas of the bank to meet customer needs, deepen relationships and build strong internal partnerships pursuant to Union Bank's sales strategy. 7. Lending. Processes consumer loan applications within specified guidelines. Compile data for Consumer loan requests. Outline loan terms and conditions, and inform the borrowers of loan commitments. Collect the pertinent loan application information (application, copies of pay stubs, run a credit report) and other information as needed on loan applicants. Prepare loan. 8. Develops relationships with customers and businesses, community and civic organizations to promote goodwill and generate new business.
- Represents the financial institution to the community through good customer relations. 10. Responsible for meeting specific objectives to be able to meet annual goals. 11. Handle customer problems and complaints; counsel customers with special needs or requests.
- Participate in activities for generating new business such as sales calls and special events.
Cash Handling & Operations
- Accountable for the compliance with applicable federal, state and local laws and regulations; and Union Bank policies and procedures. Recommend corrections when necessary.
- Interprets and administers bank policies and procedures relating to branch functions including completion of necessary compliance related training.
- Leads, coaches, evaluates, and impacts the overall management evaluation of operational and risk activities and results for the Assistant Branch Manager role when opening accounts, loans and servicing customers.
- Along with the Branch Manager, direct and coordinate, through subordinate personnel, branch activities and functions, utilizing knowledge of established policies, procedures and practices.
- Consistently meet performance expectations related to internal and external audit, prepare and implement audit responses as necessary, conduct required monthly and quarterly audit functions within the branch appropriate to the Assistant Branch Manager position.
Other Functions
- Other duties assigned from time to time by Branch Manager, Director of Branch Banking, Retail Regional Manager or other members of Senior Management.
- Adhere to all bank policy and procedures as well as complying with legal and regulatory
- Familiar with and abides by all bank regulations including but not limited to BSA and
- This position requires A.F.E. Act registration at the time of employment through the Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System (NMLS). The NMLS web site (mortgage.nationwidelicensingsystem.org) provides the MU4R questions and registration required for employment in this position

- Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and

Additional Qualifications
Minimum of 3 years banking experience- At least 2 years' experience in supervision
