Your Role.

The Bear Creek School is currently seeking to add a member of our athletic team! The assistant coach assists the head coach in organizing, coordinating and promoting a comprehensive athletic program. The girls’ basketball season runs from November to February with some duties in summer in preparation for the upcoming season.

We are seeking an individual who…

  • Assist the head coach instruction and training in the fundamentals of the sport/activity
  • Supervise the team during practice, contests and travel
  • Assist the head coach with the maintenance of facilities and equipment.
  • Promote sportsmanship and fair play among team members
  • Provide first aid as required

The successful individual in this position will:

  • Enjoy working in a fast-paced environment
  • Take initiative
  • Execute things independently when needed and work cooperatively with a team regularly


Experience and Skills:

Required Experience and Education.

  • Some coaching experience preferred, but not required
  • Currently held CPR/AED/First Aid Certification (with Epinephrine Auto Injector supplement included), or arrangements made to obtain certification within 90 days of employment start date
  • Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States for any employer. No sponsorship is available for this position

You must meet the following physical requirements.

  • Must be able to move around gym to be able to manage drills and supervise students
  • Ability to walk up stairs and carry equipment
  • Must be able to carry 20lbs
