Assist Design Director with all product design and development for the S&L Brand. Role emphasis will be on textile-technical design and product development.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

Design:

• Highly efficient in Adobe Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign)
• Execute design specs based on Director’s lead for products including but not limited to rugs, bedding, soft goods, beach and bath
• Sharp eye for color and highly detail oriented
• Ability to proficiently pass comments to both internal and external partners
• Review all incoming product developments and PPs against specs to ensure accuracy
• Generate and pass product information to cross functional teams
• Conscientious of market trends and competitors
• Actively research new ideas, materials and trims to support seasonal concepts
• Highly efficient in creating layouts, colorways and original artwork
• React with urgency when responding to shifting strategies and needs
• Highly motivated in moving product along from initial spec out to postproduction
• Actively manage sample organization and fabric libraries

Production:

• Generate and maintain BOM’s and technical specs in Backbone PLM
• Communicate with factories and agents to ensure product integrity throughout development lifecycle
• Design and develop labels and packaging for all product categories
• Stay up to date with calendar milestones and changes
• Generate and sustain weekly meeting agendas
• Track all development and PP samples

Job Requirements:

• 1-2 years of Textiles Design and Development experience
• Deep rooted understanding of home textile industry, fabrications and constructions
• Proficient in Adobe suite
• BA in textile design/product design
• Ability to work in person in Sausalito, CA this is not a remote role

Compensation:

• $65-70K depending on experience
