Shippensburg University, a Division II member of the NCAA, the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC), and a member of the Pennsylvania State System of Higher Education, invites candidates for an Assistant Director of Sports Medicine position.
The primary role of the Assistant Director of Sports Medicine is to work closely and cooperatively with the Director of Sports Medicine to evaluate, promote, develop, direct, and provide comprehensive athletic training services within the Division of Sports Medicine. The Assistant Director of Sports Medicine assists in directing health care services for student-athletes participating in the 20-sport NCAA Division II intercollegiate athletics program.

Minimum Qualifications
The minimum requirements for the positions are a master’s degree and one year of athletic training experience at the collegiate level. The applicant must possess certification from the Board of Certification, Inc. and possess or be eligible for licensure in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. Experience coordinating drug testing, pre-participation physical examinations, ImPACT concussion testing, and insurance claims processing is desirable. The position is a full-time, nine-month, temporary faculty position assigned to the Department of Athletics, with a full-time assignment as the Assistant Director of Sports Medicine. Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience, but the initial faculty rank will be no higher than an Instructor level. A comprehensive benefit package is included.
