Assistant General Counsel Job at Tower Loan
Tower Loan is seeking to fill the Assistant General Counsel position in our dynamic legal team, which value and reward career-minded and talented individuals. The Assistant General Counsel position involves a wide range of duties such as shepherding legal files, drafting and reviewing legal documents, and filing documents with the courts. The attorney will also communicate with other attorneys, judges, court personnel, company branches, and customers.
Essential Job Functions:
- Review and prepare legal documents
- File bankruptcy pleadings with the bankruptcy courts (mainly e-filing)
- Communicate with outside counsel, judges, court personnel, customers, and company personnel.
- Manage leases for company branch locations
- Prepare advice to company personnel
- Drafting documents relative to real estate
- Perform all other duties assigned by Tower Loan’s General Counsel
Minimum Qualifications:
- Juris Doctorate from an accredited law school
- Experience with Microsoft Windows and Outlook
- Highly effective communication, prioritization, and time management skills
- Highly organized with an attention-to-detail
- Ability to work independently and cooperatively in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in bankruptcy / legal collection, but not necessary
