The LeFrak Center at Lakeside is Brooklyn’s activity destination featuring year-round activities including ice skating, roller skating, dining, water play, biking, boating, family-friendly classes and special events.

Opened to the public in 2014, Lakeside is a 26-acre multi-purpose indoor and outdoor recreational facility located within Prospect Park, Brooklyn. The venue is part of a $74M redevelopment program and is considered the largest capital project in the 150 year history of the park and underscores a significant investment by the City of New York to provide amenities for and serve the demand of the expanding population around the park. This first-class family entertainment facility is comprised of 35,000 square feet of interior space and offices, two ice skating rinks which convert to a splash pad area and roller skating arena, biking and boating activities, indoor/outdoor full service food and beverage areas, bars and catering facilities, and dedicated event spaces and party rooms - that have the capacity to host multi sports tournaments, clinics, special events, banquets, meetings, weddings, concerts, community events and other family friendly activities.

Job Description:

Our rapidly expanding firm is looking for a highly motivated and enthusiastic Assistant Guest Services & Administrative Manager to join the company. This dynamic, important role in the company serves as the initial point of contact to our diverse set of clients and partners, so attention to detail, organization skills, a knack for working with teams, confidence in high-profile interactions and adherence to direction are all essential qualities to possess.

We’re looking for someone who is excited by a fast-paced environment and who engages with assertiveness. The successful candidate will have excellent interpersonal, organization, communication, and time management abilities with a high level of creativity and positivity.

This is a full-time salaried position with growth potential and is a great opportunity for an individual who has the ability and desire to engage in a wide range of administrative, management, customer service and sales functions.

Job Function:

  • Act as the first point of contact for guest information
  • Address and document guest concerns in the database
  • Achieve amicable resolution to guest concerns
  • Coordinate with other departments to address guest concerns
  • Update guest records
  • Problem-solve to achieve guest resolution
  • Promote amenities and activities
  • Support the events and group sales team by screening phone inquiries and properly compiling information about prospective events and group reservations
  • Maintain and manage organizational schedule by planning and scheduling meetings, conferences, interviews, events, teleconferences, and travel
  • Prepare meeting minutes, meeting notes and internal support materials
  • Assist office staff in maintaining files and databases; prepare reports, presentations, memoranda, proposals and correspondence
  • Coordinate among departments and operating units in resolving day-to-day administrative and operational issues
  • Revise department documents such as sales contracts, inquiry forms, reservation/program policies and other guest correspondence templates

Desired Skills and Experience:

  • 2+ years of experience in a customer service role
  • 2+ years of office administration experience
  • Bachelors Degree in Business Management or Communications
  • Exhibits a positive and friendly demeanor in all guest interactions
  • Keen listener with ability to address guest concerns and de-escalate issues
  • Excellent interpersonal, written, verbal and listening communication skills
  • Assertive, attentive and articulate
  • Communicates effectively and professionally with clients and internal management/staff
  • Versatile, detail-oriented and organized workmanship
  • Strong analytic and interpretive skills
  • Has the ability to manage a dynamic and ever-changing workflow
  • Capable of diffusing potentially volatile situations with customers under high-stress environments
  • Proactive, creative, and resourceful
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Comfortable with learning new computer software systems
  • Ambitious individual eager to learn and succeed in a dynamic environment
  • Ability to work on weekends

Job Type: Full-time
