Job Responsibilities
  • Professionally and systematically defines, designs, develops, monitors and refines an Asset Maintenance Plan that includes:
    • Value-added preventive maintenance tasks
    • Effective utilization of predictive methodologies designed to identify and isolate inherent reliability problems
    • Incorporates PSM mechanical integrity procedures
  • Develops policies and procedures to ensure reliability and maintainability of equipment, and processes.
  • Coordinates fixed equipment inspections and repairs as per site Mechanical Integrity program.
  • Consults with Engineering Department to ensure the reliability and maintainability of new and modified installations.
  • Manages capital projects during plant maintenance outages
  • Develop work scopes for all planned plant outage tasks and solicit contractor bids as required
  • Order all parts, supplies and equipment required for efficient completion of outage related work and ensure all are received prior to the beginning of the outage
  • Develop work instructions and JSA’s for outage work as required
  • Initiate and execute Management of Change projects and documentation
  • Provide planning and oversight support during plant unscheduled plant outages
  • Assists the superintendent in managing plant maintenance KPI’s and providing leadership for the maintenance team.
  • This employee may or will manage hazardous waste.
  • Complies with all plant and corporate administrative rules.
  • Complies with all applicable plant operating procedures.
  • Obeys and responsible for plant safety and environmental compliance.
  • Performs all required SH&E responsibilities.
Qualifications
  • High School Diploma required, BS Degree in mechanical engineering or related field preferred.
  • 3 - 5 years of plant experience
  • 4 years maintenance supervisory experience.
  • Strong background in using maintenance reliability tools
  • Strong organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize work accurately and to work with cross-functional teams effectively
  • Ability to lead and drive cultural change in a positive manner, influencing others on new concepts
  • Strong oral and written communication skills in a variety of settings (shop floor, peers, plant leadership, etc)
  • Familiarity with RAGAGEP’s applicable to process plants
  • Computer skills should include working knowledge of Microsoft Office; Experience with mechanical integrity software; CAD a plus.
  • Demonstrates acceptable retention level for the required training elements.
  • Project Management experience strongly preferred.
  • Knowledge of API, ASME and PSM standards preferred.
  • Familiarity with chemical plant operations preferred.
  • Familiarity with DOT Hazardous Materials Transportation training and RCRA – Hazardous Waste Training preferred.
  • Strong organizational, communication and leadership skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel.
  • Must pass a pre-employment medical screening.
  • Must be able to maintain valid Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC) card.
